The Field Marshall Series I Tractor was launched when Marshall's resumed tractor production in 1945. The engine was a modified version of that in the Model M, engine speed was increased to 750 r.p.m and power output was rated at 40 h.p. Three forward and a reverse gear, a differential lock and a transmission were standard equipment. Either steel or pneumatic tyred wheels could be specified. A large external flywheel was fitted on end of the crankshaft on the exhaust side of the tractor and and a belt pulley incorporating a cone clutch on the opposite end. |
