During 1968 the Ford 1000 series range of tractors received a power boost to 39 h.p., 47 h.p., 62 h.p., and 75 h.p. respectively for the 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000. The basic 2000 was fitted with a single-plate clutch, six forward and two reverse gears, drum brakes and category 1 hydraulic linkage. The 2000 De Luxe and the remainder of the range were equipped with eight forward and two reverse gears, independent power take-off, double acting top link draft control hydraulics and diff-lock. Drum brakes were fitted to the 2000 and 3000, the 4000 and 5000 had wet disc brakes. |
